Women's Ministry Book Club FRIDAY, AUGUST 21ST
What: Ten Words to Live By
Who: women + girls ages 16 and up
When: Saturday, July 25 at JECA after Prayer Meeting, and Friday, August 21 (time and location TBD)
Why: A new opportunity for women to gather and learn from each other in a different format
Author Jen Wilkin invites readers to examine the spirit of the law, not just the letter, and consider what it might look like to walk worthy of the calling we have received by pursuing an "expansive obedience" to the Ten Commandments. The reflections are convicting, challenging, and inspiring, and we anticipate great discussion when we gather!
We'll read the first half of the book in July and the second half in August.

men's ministry hikes
The Men's Ministry is planning to begin offering Appalachian Trail hiking trips as an opportunity for fellowship, challenge, and enjoying God's creation together. The first trip will be this fall and may range from a lodge-based outing with day hikes to a full backpacking and tent-camping experience, customized for the participants.
